Garonga Safari Camp sits within the22 000 hectare Big 5 Makalali Conservancy, on the edge of the Greater Kruger Park.

 

Garonga offers guests the chance to experience a night in the wilderness at the ‘Sleep Out’. The ‘Sleep Out’ is a raised deck with a stunning four poster bed where guests are invited to enjoy romantic dining and a night alone under the stars.

The six luxury tents at Garonga Safari Camp have solid plastered walls and canvas roofs and comprise of beautiful en-suite facilities included both indoor and outdoor showers along with a private wooden deck and relaxing hammock for those lazy afternoons.

 

These light and airy tents with king size beds draped in nets add to the romantic setting of Garonga.  Should you wish to go one step further, Garonga offers guests the chance to experience a night in the wilderness at the ‘Sleep Out’. The Lodge offers guests traditional boma dining and bar facilities, relaxing massages from the resident Sala therapist and a curio shop should you wish to purchase a memento for your stay.

 

In additional to the romantic ‘Sleep Out’ guests can also take advantage of Garonga’s Bush and Star baths. Both are private outdoor baths overlooking the spectacular landscape of Makalali, the staff prepare this ultimate romantic setting with candles, lanterns and if requested champagne…this is truly a once in a lifetime experience!

Activities at Garonga include twice daily game drives with experienced rangers and trackers.

 

Busk walks are highly recommended, taking to the bush on foot gets you closer to the flora & fauna and gives your ranger the opportunity to point out the varied animal spoors along the way.
