The Vumbura area is situated in the northern part of the Okavango Delta and caters for all tastes. The mixture of permanent swamp, flooded grassland and acacia woodlands allows for both land and water-based activities. 

 

This small luxury lodge is accessed only by boat due to its location on a stunning small island, which gives rise to its breathtaking beauty and remoteness.

The accommodation on offer at Little Vumbura consists of six tents including one family unit.  Each include central king size beds draped with mosquito netting and sunken lounge areas with sumptuous contemporary décor.  The en-suite facilities include a mixture of both indoor and outdoor showers and outdoor baths. 

 

The private deck has magical views of the African wilderness. The family units comprise of two tents with separate facilities and shared deck.

The facilities on offer at Little Vumbura include a cozy guest lounge, dining room, traditional boma and bar areas.  A Fire deck looking over the floodplains along with a floating jetty are perfect locations for after dinner drinks.

 

A plunge pool and reading area along with a star deck accessed via a bridge adjacent to the dining area are also available at this lodge.

Activities

The Okavango Delta offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides.  Game drives are conducted in the morning and early evening when the predators are active in purpose built open game drive vehicles.  We highly recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk, your guide will point out animal tracks along with the unique plant life of the Okavango Delta.

 

The perfect way to explore the Delta is by traditional mokoro, your guide with gently steer you through this stunning setting pointing out all the wildlife along the way, or simply meander through the Delta in a purpose built motor boat enjoying the magically scenery as you go.
