The Vumbura area is situated in the northern part of the Okavango Delta and caters for all tastes. The mixture of permanent swamp, flooded grassland and acacia woodlands allows for both land and water-based activities.

The accommodation on offer at Vumbura Plains consists of a total of twelve double tents and two family units.  Each include central king size beds draped with mosquito netting and sunken lounge areas with sumptuous contemporary décor.  The en-suite facilities include both indoor and outdoor showers. 

 

The private deck includes a plunge pool and sala with magical views of the African wilderness. The family units comprise of two tents with separate facilities and shared deck and plunge pool.

Both North and South camps each have their own facilities, which include a cozy guest lounge, dining room, traditional boma and bar areas.  Outdoor sunken lounges with fire decks looking over the floodplains are a perfect location for after dinner drinks.

 

Massage treatments are also offered in the comfort of your own rooms, whilst spotting scopes are available on the main viewing decks for guests to scan the floodplains for close up views of the game.

Activities

The Okavango Delta offers guests an opportunity to explore the wild bush of Africa in the experienced hands of highly qualified guides.  Game drives are conducted in the morning and early evening when the predators are active in purpose build open game drive vehicles.  We highly recommend you accompany your guide on a bush walk, your guide will point out animal tracks along with the unique plant life of the Okavango Delta.

 

The perfect way to explore the Delta is by traditional mokoro, your guide with gently steer you through this stunning setting pointing out all the wildlife along the way, or simply meander through the Delta in a purpose built motor boat enjoying the magically scenery as you go.
